anyone know why you can't book either the ghazala beach or gardens this year? last year there were loads of brits at the gardens, not many at the beach, but both very good hotels.

Over on Trip advisor someone is asking the same question and apparently they have been overbooking the place since last year and are sending the overbooked guests to the Ghazala beach which as you know is a much inferior hotel.Direct,Airtours and My travel have now been taken over by Thomas Cook and they for some reason havent got it on their website, probably because its overbooked!

We go in 2 weeks and they had better not even think of changing our hotel

With 2 days to go they have, we have been offered the Sonesta Beach instead
Apparently the Gazala Gardens is part of a group called Red Sea Hotels Group and Thomas Cook/direct holidays have terminated their contract with this group. This is why they are not appearing on web-sites at present.
