Has anyone been to the kart track just outside Salou (the one you can see on the way in from the airport)?
Any info on cost or age limits? My sons are 7 and 8 and I'd like to take them there if they'll be able to have a go.
Cheers

My son is 8 and he had to go on the kids track. Cannot remember the exact cost for kids but you can either go on for 5 or 10 minutes. For the adults it costs 24 Euros for 10 minutes. Think we paid around 18 Euros (for 10 mins) for our son but the last time we went we paid slightly less (when looked at price list realised that they had been putting him in wrong age group). Will check with my husband and see if he can remember exact price. If different to above will post another message.
Don't know if you are staying in a hotel but they usually have the leaflet for the Go Karting and you can book to go through Reception. If book with the hotel you will get an extra minute if book 5 minutes and an extra 2 minutes if book 10 minutes.
There is also a Go Karting Bus that picks you up from the hotel (free of charge). Think does about four pick ups a day (except Sundays) and your hotel will have the times. This bus takes you all over Salou/La Pineda doing pick ups so spend more time on bus than you do on the go karts. Once you have finished karting you then have to wait for the bus going back into Salou etc.
My son loves the go karts, as does my husband. Last holiday they went three times!!!
Would recommend it - for kids and adults.

We're staying at the Vil.LaRomana up near PortAventura so I'd guess we'd be one of the last pick-ups. Mind you, 80-odd euros for the 4 of us to have 10 minutes fun seems a bit steep, especially as we're all first-timers and would probably want another go. I'll check with the hotel reception to see if they have any offers.

Noticed you're back from your holidays. Hope you had a good one.
Did you manage to go go karting?
Got back on Tuesday having had an excellent holiday, thanks.
No we didn't go karting in the end, we decided it was going to be too expensive. We've promised our kids we'll go back to Salou when they're tall enough to get on the big rides at PortAventura, so we'll try the kart track then.
