hmmmmmmfffffff and I have 6 days to crash diet .....when I was looking through them I was reminded of the River Sal Hotel, you used to go down a lane and an old man would flash his torch and then guide you down a path to the riverside where there was a rowing boat to get you across the the Hotel/restaurant....the food was fabulous and it was right on the waters edge so the ambience great, it's a shame it's just rundown now
Great photo's, might see you on our way in at the airport. Gel
Tightjock they were great photo's some places i'v not been to YET but intend to get to see...
thanks for sharing,some nice photos...
palolem great to see it in its original beauty.wish i had the forsite to discover it earlier in my life.
Alfred.........It really was "paradise beach" and straight out of a bounty advert. In 95, I think there was only one maybe two shacks on the beach and 3 or 4 just off the beach.......I will never forget the scene when I took the photo through the palm tree's with the Indian flag...... we were sitting in a shack/restaurant just off the beach, (earlier in the day the local men had cast their net from the shore).......someone was reading a book gently swaying in their hammock, and down on the beach the men were now pulling the net in, the sun was just starting to set and as the net reached the shore the woman and chidren from the village arrived with baskets ready to pick up the catch.......I walked down to the shore to film the scene and I remember thinking......"this is just real life, a small village working together and going about their daily lives"...it really was one of those magical moments.......
