Vagator is changing all the time, I stayed for 2 months in 1999 and another 2 months in 2001, then there was nothing on the clifftop where 9 bar is, the 9 bar was little more than a small brick bar with big tubs of iced water with bottles of beer in.
Now the clifftop is full of huts and a Greek restaurant as well as the Alcove, new resorts are springing up all over the place.
I still love the place and it still has its own charm for now, most of the old restaurants are still there, Mango Tree etc, so maybe give it a go while it still retains a sleepy (ish) feel.

Had forgotten Mango Tree :)
Cheers for the update. It will always be close to my heart because we'd been in India two months by the time we made it to Goa so it was such a welcome break.

Went back to India again recently and loved it just as much all over again, will be back there again sooner rather than later I think.

Chapora village is still very much the same, maybe a bit more traffic and bars owners have come and gone but it still has its charm and even while the cliff top above Little Vagator beach has seen new huts and bars spring up the beach is still pretty laid back
