Goa - flight only December?

Hi i am going to Goa in a few weeks with my son, and im planning on going flight only i Dec because i have heard this is the cheapest time to get flights. But ive got a few questions

1) when is the best time to book? early or late and who with?
2) should i arrange where we're going to stay or just jump in a taxi and ask a taxi driver? ( been to goa many times so its not my first time

3) Do you know of any decent 2-3* hotels in either baga, calangute or candolim? Max price about £10 a night for 2 people.

I'd suggest that you take a little time out when you come over in a few weeks to look around some hotels. Get some prices and contact details also. I had a friend out in December last year, she paid £179 for a charter package, it was so cheap because the flight home was Xmas Day.
Not sure who she booked it with but I know it was a last minute deal.

If you are looking or 1 or 2 week flight and travelling outside of Xmas suggest you leave it to the last minute adn book a late availabilty package. However if you are looking to be in Goa for Xmas book as early as possible and book accomodation.

By the way accommodation costs have increased this year and the £10 a night deal is harder and harder to find. You won't get a £10 a night deal over Xmas

Hi i think ill get a late deal. No i dont want to go over xmas, want to be back home for the middle of Dec (ish)

I think you will be fine just jumping in a taxi but if I were you I would have a rough idea of where you fancy staying, or book at least the first night. I think you will struggle with your ten pound limit unless you are happy with basic accommodation in that area. Of course you could always head further north where it seems a lot cheaper. We stayed just off Arumbol Beach for 350 ruppees a night and it was a decent place.
