Hi, forgive me if this has been asked recently, couldnt find anything in the searches.
We are going out to Goa on the 10th September to buy furniture for our property so it is ready for the season! I have read on here that there are a few restaurants still open but does anyone know which ones? We will be staying in Candolim.
I think someone mentioned a while back that Cactus Shepherds Pie was open, have I got this right....this was one of our favourites!
We have never been this early to Goa (our earliest was middle of October). If there is anyone out there in Goa at the mo, how is the weather? and do you need 'monsoon clothes', if so what are they?
thanks
Towpal
hey towpal I am also visiting Goa exactly at same time .....i am there for a week or two .....please pass me on any kind of info you get .....I will be staying at vagator ..........
Cactus was open all season, as is Jungle village [well worth a visit] nearly all the restaurants in Calangute are open,
As Lin said, most restaurants in Calangute are open, but most of the tourist shops are closed.
Taxi's can be hard to find, especially in the evening, hard to believe I know
The roads are very quiet too.
We have really enjoyed being here in the monsoon, no hassle, no sellers.
Definiatly would recommend coming here during the off season.
Julie
hey julie where are you staying ? and what about pubs and parties are they on ? can you please guide me with some descent accomadation at vagator or any north goa beach ........
Thank you for that, we can't wait to get there!! Just a bit worried about the Air Deccon bit from Mumbai, but I'm sure we'll be OK
Michelle
We are in Arpora, if you are coming before the season starts or anytime apart from Christmas/New Year you will have no problem finding accomodation. Look at the hotel review section for addresses.
Most of the bars are open, though of course no beach shacks for a few weeks yet. No idea about parties-sorry.
