I haven't got young children mine are all grown up! personally from several visits to Goa I would not take youngsters, the heat, the need to keep a close eye on them on the beach, the strong currents in the sea and need to keep hydrated would all be a downside if you wanted a relaxing holiday. There is food other than traditional dishes but possibly not the type suitable for your little ones likes. Don't want to put you off, this is purely a personal point of view. To pay so much for a holiday, travel a long distance and not getting the most out of it would be a shame. Having said that I'm sure others have taken children, had a great holiday and will contradict my opinion.
