You do not need a visa as a U.K. citizen entering Thailand but you must pay a 500bht departure tax on leaving. If you aint got the 500bht you aint leaving Thailand.Ticket machines and booths located just before passport control at Don Muang.
The other rule re Thailand is that you don't need a visa as long as you are not staying longer than 30 days.

Hi my wife and I are hoping to get to Thailand in Dec 2007 as it will be our 25th Wedding Anniversary wanting 3 or 4 days in Bangkok then onto a beach resort anyone got any ideas or recommendations ( I know its a Goa site but reckon its the best site on holiday truths for great friendly members who know what there talking about)
get over onto the Far East forum! They have a brilliant mod there!
Anita- I expect to see you there as well!
I paid around 19,000 rupees with Thai Air from Mumbai - Bangkok about 2 years ago. Booked it through Darshan at Tara Travel on the Baga Road.
GFF xx
