We went to Goa (Candolim) for the first time in January this year, we had such a good time, and have banged on about it so much, we are going back in January 2007, with 3 other people. We shall be at Dona Alcina again, but this time in one of the family rooms, hopefully A10 or A11. Can't wait to go.

Good for you. Glad you found Dom Fransisco/Alcina OK. It does seem to get a lot of bad publicity but we found it OK when we went at Christmas and have already booked again for next Christmas. It does seem to get a few repeat visitors. OK it is basic but we spent so little time in the room, it didn't matter. We go because we love Goa and are on a tight budget. This Christmas will be our 6th time and we hope to become a 6-monther in a few years when I retire.
