Hello Sliema2, I know you have a look on the internet when you are in your home town, I just have to put that I wait in hope that you do put up a report as I have yet to read one.
I have noticed that it has /is raining over in Malta this morning just thought I'd let you know it's glorious sunshine back here in Manchester
yep, 20mm of rain over the weekend, and a bit more today - average rainfall in June in total is only 3mm !! Its been wonderful - there has been so little rain for months and everything was very dusty - now its all washed away, and the air is really clear
Thats enough rain for now, we are due out there on Friday and want sun, sun, sun
I believe Sliema2 to be a Rain god.
Hi there, just checked out the 10 day forecast as we go tomorrow for 10 days Looks good to me See you all in 11 days
Well he must be back but there is still no report.
Well he must be back but there is still no report.
Dave I think he is still suffering the effects of Cisk withdrawal, you know that grumpy don't talk to me way you get when you arrive back in old blighty
Grrrrrrrrrr where's my Cisk
Thought so
Also I can happily report that Malta as always was fantastic, a mor concise write up to follow (one day)
and did you stay sober....???.
was there many time share touts about.?.
regards.....john-doe..........
Still waiting.
Hi John yes ta mate it was spiffing, we stayed kind of soberish, but there were timeshare around but seemed to be behaving themselves a bit more.
I could if I wanted to say I was in Malta last week get out my Cadogan Malta guide book real of a few things about what I have seen and done, or any other place I have a guide book for and no one would know but its not the same is it.
Any way I am of to the Algarve on Thursday and you can be sure me and Mrs Holidaymaker will have a great time, so if you want to put up your report then fine but (look at my face do I look bothered)
Dave
Anyway my report is: we did the Malta Experience for the first tme in years, it was nice and cool in the audutorium, I enjoyed it as it was very informative, hubby nearly dozed off! WE then did the knights hospital opposite the Malta Experience. Well I personally thought it was a rip off. It said " experience the sights, sounds and smells" The only smell was a bit of damp, the sights were a few dummies and the sounds.well I don't think there were any. There was an awful lot of information boards, I didn't have my reading glasses so was totally lost! Very dissapointing
We did a harbour cruise from St Pauls jetty, it went along the coast, around Sliema and into the Grand Harbour. It was 11am 'til about 1.45, very relaxing and informative. I would reccomend this to anyone staying in St Pauls/ Buggiba, much better than getting the bus to Sliema
