hi i've went to la pineda for the day and the waterpark is good there.aquapolis. also a good bar for meals if you eat out is gordons bar.
The beach was fantastic. It would be great for kids as there was plenty to do. You could hire out all sorts of equipment at really reasonable rates.
We found a great pub - The Bucaneer - run by Peter and Liz (which coincidentally are our names) who have British TV if you need your Eastenders/Corrie/Big Brother fix. They also have games and quizzes each evening. It is a great pub and everyone is made to feel very welcome there.
There is a little tourist train that takes you along the coast to Calella and only costs (i think) about 3 Euros (if I remember rightly) which stops all along the front. You can also get a train into Barcelona easily. If you walk up the pedestrianised street, you will find a few tourist shops and a few nice places to eat. You will also find a little shop that runs trips e.g. Barcelona, Figueras and the usual boat trips. A little pricey but very convenient.
The only downside was that nearly everything closed around 12.30/1.00am which was a bit early for us.
When we want a relaxing holiday - we will definately go back.
I have been there a few times, even stayed in the same hotel as you.
Its a nice area but very quiet, not really a lot to do outside of the hotel, but its easy to get into Salou if you want.
The hotel is nice, good entertainment, brilliant for the kids and the best bit, its literally a 5 second walk to the nice clean beach
Enjoy
Loulou
