We stayed in Tsilivi last June, having been to Zante twice before. This is definately the best resort in Zante, in my opinion. It still has quite a 'Greek' feel to it, unlike Laganas. (Although there is a small McD's there - don't say I didn't warn you!) You will be able to pick a different taverna / bar every night. I would highly recommend 'Benkios' taverna - run by Nikos & Becky - the most friendly taverna we've every been in! (Just opposite where the horse & carriages line up each evening.)
We will certainly go back to Tsilivi, once we've tried a few more places. (Off to Stoupa this year!!)
As for prices, when we went last year, (four adults, one child) the most we paid for a meal was around 60 euros.This included puddings and wine - so it worked out at less than 15 euros each - not that bad really! (And far cheaper than you'd pay in the UK. Same goes for drinks.
