If all else fails, you could book the Golden Yavor directly on goldensands.bg - would obviously have to sort out your own flight, etc.

<Edit> If you Google the hotel, it's also being offered by a few UK tour operators - some of the ones that I glanced at didn't appear to be ATOL/ABTA bonded, though.

hi famousmom, we booked a pool view when we booked the holiday as i say knowing as id been to gs before that most hotels pools face the sea. we were just lucky to get a sea view. as i said id post a picture but dont know how to do it
It's important for me that the room has a nice view but, at the same time, I want a quiet room for us, so my baby can get a good sleep! I know some people drink till late in the night by the pool bar and make some noise, so I don't know what to do about the room....

Now we've changed hotel we are staying in the Yavor Palace in Sunny Beach - I take it that's a different Yavor than this one or is Golden Sands/Sunny Beach pretty much the same place?

Hi again (I really should do some work and get off this forum!). Sunny Beach and Golden Sands are completely different places. Golden Sands is about 2 hours drive north of Sunny Beach. This thread isn't about where you are staying.

Hi again! I have few more questions for you:)
It's written on the net that you can pay for the room upon your arrival at the hotel. I got a form to fill in and send it by fax if I wanted to pay in advance. My question is: should I do that now or wait until we get there? I don't know why, but I am reluctant to pay in advance! On the other side, I heard that some hotels take big groups and then some people came and realised that they didn't have a rezervation anymore. I wouldn't want that to happen to me, as I am not willing to stay in the other Yavor. NO WAY!

Most UK guests will have booked package holidays (flight, transfer, accommodation, etc.), rather than directly with hotels, so the tour operator(s) would arrange hotel bookings.
Reservations would only need to be made by independent travellers, such as yourself.

It's still in the air and is likely to remain there because, as per my last post, the majority of UK travellers are unlikely to book Bulgarian hotels directly, they usually book a 'package holiday' of flights,transfers & accommodation with a UK-based tour operator, such as Thomson, First Choice, Balkan Holidays, etc., so will not be in a position to answer your question.
You are an independent traveller, if you are arranging transport, hotel, etc., yourself.
