Anybody stopped there recently ?
Just wondering what peoples views were
There is a couple of reviews on Hotel Reviews.
I was in Icmler in June and spoke to Thomas Cook rep. Asked her what she thought was the best hotel and she reckoned Golmar, It is in a nice location/

Can anyone please tell me where on the map is the Golmar Beach, many thanks for any replies received
Hi, not sure which 'map' you are referring to, but the Golmar is right on the front at Icemeler, to the left side of the beach/prom if standing with your back to the sea.
am I right in thinking so its by the karoke bar end rather than the canal end
Its the very last hotel at the far end of the beach along from the Karaoke Bar or Harmony Bar and next to Marbas Hotel. Every room has a sea view. Its a family run hotel- if going I would recommend B and B. it has an excellent swimming pool and is right on the beach. I have stayed there often - the rooms are ok , situation is great. The hotel use to cater for a lot more British people but now a large majority of Guests are Slovakian.
thanks mopitt we were thinking of going half board is that now adviseable have you any piccies of it as the only ones I can find are very limited
Having stayed here twice I would agree that B/B is the better option, lot's of wonderful restaurants nearby! One regular complaint is that the pool while being a good size can be a bit shaded, in my view this is a plus! Also when we stayed the lift did not go to the top floor but this was no real problem! Can't recall our room numbers but we were on the top floor and the room faced onto the hills with a side sea-view.The restaurant is great as it opens out directly onto the beach and the food was usually good. It has been a few years since our last visit so things may have changed, whoops! nearly forgot! The rooms we were in were quite small and the decor a bit faded.

Stayed there a few year ago no complains apart from aircon it was cold on the balcony and hot in the room but was fixed within a few days
Have been to Marmaris many times in the past but decided to try Icmeler for a change.
Hi, we're staying here in June, booked with "On The Beach."Trying to find out re fridges in room, some companies say yes, others say no. "On the beach" has'nt replied, thanks Dawn
Yes there is a fridges in the rooms in the Golmar Hotel which you pay for, they work on a key system which you plug into the wall, no minibar though.
Well... we will get there at about 5pm I think. What I would like to know is... Do you think the pool will still be open at that tome? We will be travelling with a 3 year old and I thought after the journey and transfer that a dip in the pool would be in order, if she awake of course! Chuck cases in room, take swim gear out of bag then off for a play...
What do you think then?
Thanks
Ruth
You wil find that most hotels keep their pools open for use until 7pm. Hope you enjoy your holiday, our neighbours went there to-day.
Ah ok, then depending on how my daughter is feeling a dip in the pool it will be... Stuff the unpacking until later in the evening!!
Not really sure how useful it is for me having my post merged with this one as it's a different topic specific to info on pool times and norm for Icmeler as opposed to generic on hotel.
We try to keep a tidy forum and thats why we will merge posts regarding a particular hotel when we see them.
At present, the topic sits high on the page, so hopefully you should get your question answered.
Also we would really appreciate you posting your review on the hotel when you return. I am sure it will help others who have queries on the hotel.
Have a lovely holiday

I had a PM and informed that the pool closes at 8pm which is great news, plenty time for a dip when we arrive there.
Ooh... cannot wait now, roll on the 24th!
