Hi
I am looking for a AI holiday over Christmas for under £3000 if thats possible. Flying from Manchester for 2 weeks with 2 adults and 2 kids. We want somewhere with a kids club for my 2 year old. Also must be guarenteed sun.
best i could find was with Thompsons flying on 13/12 to the dominican republic staying at the Casa marina Beach for a total of £2785. if you want absolute guaranteed sunshine then you'll have to travel a bit further. The canaries might be a nearer option but the weather is by no means guaranteed. The prices went way up the closer to Xmas you got, with departures on 17/18 december coming out at around £3800.

I did look at Egypt as we have been there twice now in the summer, but I reckon it may be too cold. We spend most of our time in the pool and so don't want to go anywhere where the pools will be freezing.
Been looking at DIY prices but flights to the caribbean are really expensive at the moment.
If we don't go at Christmas, we will go Easter.
Thanks
I've spent three of the last 4 xmas' away on holiday. Our first was 2002 which we spent at the Riu merengue in the Dominican Republic and we had a fantastic time. The last two years we have been to the maldives which truly is like paradise. We're going to the Dom Rep this year on the 17 December but this time only for a week - will be back at home for Xmas dinner!
We were at Riu Bachata December 2002, but went the beginning of the month. Daughter was two and a half then. She is now 6 and I also have a 2 year old son.
Small hotel and it looks lovely but not really suitable for kids as there are no facilities for them there.
