Got our visas back and

Our pictures are on the actual visas. Never seen this before and our friends who recently got their visas back don't have their pictures.

I am guessing this is another thing they do now.

Worst thing is it's a really bad picture. Haha. I wasn't concerned cos no one ever sees it......wrong hehe.

Both mine and the wife DONT have our pictures on our visas.... :que

Are yours the new "Bio-Metric" type passports.....the ones with a "chip" in them....
Ours are still the old type passports.... :que

I have the new style passport and our visas didn't come with photos on. It seems it is rather random who gets them and who doesn't. I'm quite glad ours don't!

Mine is a new one but hubbies isn't and we both have pics. Our other friends got theirs back last week and they have pics too.

Wonder if it's the very recent ones that have pics.

3 weeks today woohoo!!!!!!

Applied by post for our visas today, given all the hassle that others have had we are not feeling too optimistic but we think everything was as requested including the 2 x 2" photos. Will keep you posted with the application process. By the way had no problem whatsoever with getting the right size and foremat of the pictures which we had done at a well known high street photo shop.!!

make sure your pics have a white background! we went to a well know photo shop and they did them with a grey background...fortunetely the staff at the charity place we apply from in Leicester spotted this and kindly directed us to a professional photograhers accross the road from them where we got 6 each for £5 which was cheaper then the well known ones and far better!

We posted our applications on the 4th or 5th Jan and got them back today. I was concerned they might come back as we got married and I have a double barrelled name, new passport etc but they were fine. Our photograph backgrounds were slightly off white.

Oh dear mine have a beige background....Magnolia actually :rofl

I hope they get through!!

But as quoted from the VFS Website.........."The background should be a plain light colored background"
So it doesn't actually state white as a mandatory background colour

I am sure it will be ok.

We asked the woman in max spielmans about it because their background is off white slightly grey colour. She said no one had ever complained about pictures being sent back.

When do you go ?

Ours were magnolia too Ian and went through ok. I think it also states that features must be clearly distinguishable, can't photoshop the wrinkles unfortunately :rofl

I'm still a newby compared to most that visit Goa. Off for the third time on March 11th staying at the Nazri.

Spent ages looking at alternative places around the world to visit but nothing seemed to tick all the boxes like Goa does. So despite all the hassle with visas and photographs, we're going again.

Might be a different story if my visas are returned for having a magnolia background! :rofl

Hi, We got our visas back today. so chuffed!! My daughter is 14 and i am divorced! i was really panicking. My daughter got in touch with my ex husband and he wrote a letter and gave us a copy of his passport and this seemed sufficient. I couldn't find my divorce papers (not that it had that i had custody) and the child benefit letter that was asked for hasn't got anything on there to say I am divorced either. we also haven't got our photos on our visa. Roll on the 16th Feb. Happy days xx :cheers
