I have just returned from my 5th visit to Alicante for the San Juan/Hogueras festivities,and another great time was had again.
What shocked me this time was the ammount of graffiti in the city,it's everywhere - on all buildings all over the place be they public,offices,shops ect ect.What a bad reflection this must give to a first time visitor.
Does anyone on here live in or near the city and if so are the authorities trying to do something about this problem?It wont stop me going again but I'm sure many would comea away with a bad impression from their visit.
Have you seen the graffiti at the airport?I was disgusted by the mess so called travellers have put on the walls and doors at Alicante Airport Tiolets .These travellers should be ashamed.I bet they wouldn't like it on their own homes.I travel throughout Spain and haven't come acrooss this before.
It seems to be a Spain phenomena!
Benidorm, Salou, Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Barcelona - its everywhere.
In fact, the more I think about it, it seems worse in Europe in general than the UK.
Lisbon, Amsterdam, Prague, Bratislava its very bad.
I know the UK obviously does have graffiti but its definately worse on the continent.
I don't think they bother doing much about it because no sooner do they clear it and its back again.
Its a shame.

Perhaps they should get like Singapore and thrash the backsides of the culprits witha rattan cane,that would stop it
I agree Wayne, they wouldn't do it again then. It's the only way to stop it.
