Have just returned from this hotel and thought you might like to know my views.
My husband and i spent Feb half term here for our silver wedding.
We arent rich,so £1,700 for b&B for 1 week wasnt cheap!
We arrived at the ungodly hour of 1.45am.....but it took an hour to find our room!
Lots of other couples got lost aswell!
Spoke to Thompson Rep and she said she'd report the problem.
It's a wonderful looking property, lots of fountains, pools, palm trees and very green grass!
Bedroom was great.Huge bed,two pillows each(a luxury,i can tell you!) Walk in shower(powerful)also another one in the large bath.
Maid service everyday. Safe in bedroom cost us about 13 euros 1 week.
Travel cheques cost us 4 euros to change 200 euros in hotel.
Dont use their phones...the money goes very quickly.3 euros minimum to phone england,we used the ones outside.
Outside there is a lot of seating, which also includes large comfy sofas.
Entertainment in various places throughout the hotel.
El Divo performed there. Also a Frank Sinatra sound a-like.Elvis was in the building!
Spanish Dancing.Piano and Sax also in the huge reception.(something for all tastes)
We decided to eat out most nights, which is great as there are plenty of little restaurants to choose from 5_10 mins walk. But the hotel has quite a few restaurants also.18 euros each for a buffet style meal, plenty to choose from.Breakfasts are amazing, loved the fresh fruit and desserts! Atlantico restaurant hot water was not hot,go to the other breakfast room!
Sea front only 1 min from hotel.Light house outside.
Sandunes and a natural area for ducks and birds is lovely.
If you want to go on a coach trip to see the centre of Gran Canaria(a must, breathtaking views 12,000 feet up) then book with an agency in the town.Holiday reps charge a lot as they need their cut.It cost us about £80 for both of us for the trip and it rained!
But all in all it was beautiful area,we loved it and will definately go back for our pearl anniversary in 5 years!
Other people we spoke to got holiday cheaper than us(we booked with Thomas Cook)
March-Oct the best months but prices will reflect this.
Hope this is helpful to those of you considering this hotel.
The older generation especially suitable.
Not sure if this is the hotel you stayed at, but if so, perhaps you would consider adding your review
