The pricing was too good to miss and all the reports I've found seem quite encouraging. We like to get out and about and we never feel restricted by the A/I aspect, so will be visiting Pamukkule and Ephesus and the mud baths. Any other ideas please?
I've just booked the Newport for 2 weeks. Has anyone any reports, comments or recommendations please.

Hi,
This hotel isn't actually in Bitez - its at the top of the hill, on the Gumbet side, going over from Gumbet to Bitez. But the Gumbet-Bodrum dolmus goes right past the door, so you will be able to get out and about fine.
I've never stayed there, but it does look impressive from the outside.

When we stayed in Bitez, the rep said it was a 3 hour drive each way to the mud baths 
, so you may want to think carefully before booking that trip! It is best done when staying in the area served by Dalaman airport. We went there this year from Olu Deniz.

Yes, mehmeh1, we missed out on that when we were there last time. We're going for it this time though. It's only 6 hours out of the holiday, leaving all night to wine, dine and polish the face with Raki.
