Gratuities on P&O cruises

We have booked our first cruise with P&O for January 2015. We are aware of the daily charge for gratuities but cannot seem to find any information as to wether or not there is a charge made for drinks you buy on board.
We cruised with Princess several years ago and if I remember correctly there was a gratuity of around 10% added to the price of every drink purchased on board. I was wondering if P&O operate the same policy?

Drinks on P&O ships are about normal UK prices. The price you see on the drinks menu is what you pay no extras added. Link to one of their drinks menus. PDF File.

My inlaws have sailed today on the Azura. The FiL was contemplating paying the gratuities package rather than rewarding staff as they went. That was up until P&O informed him that the package reuired them to pay for 15 days gratuities for a 14 night cruise. He felt this was rooking the passengers into giving an extra day of tips and so has reverted to his customary way of giving tips.
