I am going to the Elounda Village hotel at beginning of septmeber. I want to know if anyone has been there.
I have read some good reviews but also some reviews that are not very complimentry at some review sites. So i wanted a first hand experience if possible.
We stayed at this hotel 3 years ago and it is lovely. I believe they have made the hotel adults only for this year (I think). The hotel is in a lovely spot, the room we had was huge and had nice views over the gardens. There is a really nice terrace restaurant for lunch with stunning views over Mirabello Bay and out to Spinalonga. There are two pools, one in the gardens (only small) and an infinity pool (salt water). The food was fantastic when we were there, plenty of outside space to eat if you like. There is a terrace with lovely wicker furniture to sit in the evening, again with stunning views. Overall we had a great holiday. The downsides, there are always some!! the hotel is a long way from anywhere and the walk to Elounda is quite a way. The beach is only OK, thats about it. You will love it - Grecotel are a really good chain, we have stayed in 4 of their hotels and loved them all.
