Im looking at having an "extra" holiday in October half term for myself and 6 year old son, we had our "main" holiday in Cyprus back in May/June.
I LOVED crete, (Stayed at Stalis) Enjoyed Zakynthos (Argassi) but these were either may or sept visits.
Id like to go somewhere else in greece/islands, but am concerned about what the weather would be like travelling at this time (will be 21st October)
Which island is likely to have the best/warmest/driest weather, and is it worth risking ? I dont want to go on holiday and not to have sun lol
Any help/suggestions about where to consider and also possible hotels/apartments would be gratefully received
Thanks everyone
Karen x
To give yourself better odds, then Rhodes, Kos or Crete are probably decent bets. Beware of travelling anywhere though that requires a ferry crossing because the timetables can be severely disrupted if a storm kicks in, which is more likely in October.
I love the islands in October because the crowds have gone so I don't worry too much about the weather but just take it as it comes. I would say 75% of the time, the weather is fine but chilly at night.
