Might sound a bit of a silly question this but is it true that Turkish airlines are not allowed to fly over Greece ? If not,how do they get from the UK to Turkish Airports such as Dalaman ect ?

No, it's not true. Turkish Airlines operate a scheduled service from Istanbul to Athens!
