What we are after are any recommendations for a nice homely guest house with a swimming pool (if possible) and fairly central to beach, shops, etc.
we go on 28th january so hopefully will still have time to book this beforehand

we always say we are gonna go to the south for 2/3 nights yet never seem to get there, as all our plans go out of the window. So i thought that if i could book one before we go then we would definitely get there and see what the south is like, and to break up the 3 weeks holiday.

hi silver angel Gaffinos Guest house is in a good position for shops and beach,don,t think there,s a pool 
also the Goan village and Mikes place have rooms to let,we stay at our time share at the Hatthi Mahal but i,m
sure some of the regular South visitors will help you out.we split our holiday between N/S as we like them both

try Sao domingoes in Cavelossim it is very good IC and Polly stayed there in November it doesnt have a pool though but the beach
in Cavelosim is not far and it is we think the best beach around
when are you thinking of coming we could meet up for a coffee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you like we are

I am stupid I thought it said february then I read it again 
Skylark hotel - Not a guesthouse, but small friendly hotel with a good swimmimg pool. In Colva near beach, shops and restaurants. Benaulim is a 20min walk along beach, Cavelossim about 15mins in taxi, Local bus to Margao for market.

the mobor beach resort / hotel is a small hotel owned by tony gaffino who also owns gaffinos guest house , the mobor has a pool , and also has a short path to the beach where they have there own beach shack with a very good standard flushing loo . the mobor is in cavelosim , you dont have to stay there to use the pool if you go in to buy a drink or snack you are welcome to sit around the pool and have a dip , anita
