Minione, when I suggested going B&B rather than AI, I was just trying to show that there are alternatives - a saving of £1100 per week for four (B&B as against AI) is a saving of £275 per person per week - I could eat out and drink for that much in Gumbet. I was just suggesting it as if the two young ones are out at night, they're going to be spending money as well anyway??
Also, other people tend to read these threads so it's sometimes answering the OP's question and then just throwing in some alternatives either for the OP who admitted she/he had never visited Turkey before so maybe didn't know or for anybody else reading the thread. Sorry if you think it was wrong.
Also, it's difficult to recommend somewhere as you don't know people's tastes - you can only make suggestions and hope you're not far off the mark.
Hey ho, that's what makes the forum interesting and entertaining though - people are just sooooooooooooooooooo different

Sorry, I know I'm but have to say how shocked and disappointed I am that the Hotel Baba has closed. Hubby and I always said we'd definitely return there. Think I'm going to start a new topic.

Like minione as a family with 2 older teens , no way Jackie I would have to give them a mimumum of £50 per night between them just for their own evening entertainment and that wouldnt get them very far when they dont come in before 4am . thats a third of it gone, probably more like £500 before we've even had lunch , evening meal and drinks in the day and evening . I certainly wouldnt want to be on a budget , counting the pennies and telling hubby he can only have 1 beer with his dinner . My life would be hell .
And yes it does get very repetitive .And for some reason only on the Turkey forum do we get this . In most cases an OP has already decided what the board basis is they want to stay at based on their family circumstances and the expenditure they know out of experience they are likely to be making . Lets just respect that whether it be SC, B&B HB or AI .
If you can get it at a good price Sounds like WOW would be a good choice for a family with a 22 and 23 year olds . 24 hrs a.I , reports of excellent food and within walking distance of Gumbet for the bars and clubs.

As I said before people are perfectly entitled to make alternative suggestions and the OP is perfectly entitled to ignore them if he/she wants to. Maybe he/she doesn't know what the alternatives are and giving other ideas is just a way of trying to help.
My friends son and daughter and their families had a Holiday from Hell in one in Gumbet after being told by the Travel agent it was a 5*
hotel.
Is that a goldtrail special jean ?
I asked them if they would go to a Litera hotel.
You should have seen the look on their faces!
Oh yes, definitely avoid any hotels with the name Litera in, you could very easily end up with a dodgy tummy in one of those
