A colleague at work will be travelling in Goa for 2 weeks in December. Just wondering if you knew of any halal food anywhere in Goa. They just want to have some lamb and chicken whilst there, instead of doing all veggie.
They are planning to do all over Goa in the 2 weeks, North, South, Panjiim, so any help please.
This couple see themselves as British, and will be going to the Hindu Temples and Churches. If you do know of a Mosque they can go to that would be good. Maybe a classy mosque rather than the grotty one down the Calanugute high street.

The Jama Masjid mosque is in Panjim (18th century), near to the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.
As for eating halal, that's not going to be easy to find. A Kashmiri jeweller told me he buys halal meat in Mapusa, so I guess that's maybe where there could be halal eateries if anywhere. Try asking at the mosque or any of the Kashmiri shop owners for the best information.

You can now get Halal meat in packets from the supermarkets, mutton and buffalo. thats if they want to cook of course!!
