Hi
First of a I am usually a lurker to this forum, use it when I am looking for advice on next holiday, but this time I am looking for some more advice
I have booked our christmas holiday to the above hotel, and thought it was in Hamamet, but after sifting through the posts in this forum someone has mentioned it is in "yasmine hamamet" now as I dont have a brochure for the hotel as it was booked through teletext, I am not sure if they are the same place or not ? maybe someone who has been could let me know, also I have looked for advice on transfers from the airport, I am sure it is Monastir airport I am flying into, so does anyone have rough price, and also is it best to book transfers before we go or wait till we get there, how would I go about either, so if these sound stupid questions but we are used to booking transfers with our holiday as standard, and have never had to book them ourselves,
thanks in advance
Wilma
Because I have been researching so hard I have worked out that Yasmine Hamammet is about 9 kilometers south of Hammamet. It is a 'new' resort in the same way as Port el Kant was some years ago and purpose built around a marina in the same way as PelK. I think it is mainly full of 4 & 5* hotels, a purpose built medina and there is a small theme park for kids.It sounds very nice to me, although I am sure people who have been going to Sousse and Hammamet for many years will have a view.
Possibly someone else on here will be able to help with your question on transfers. It would be helpful to get some feedback on what Yasmine is actually like.
Can't beleive I know so much about somewhere I haven't even been to. :rofl
thanks for the reply's
now I know that they are two different places I am still not clear though whether the "Hamamet Gardens hotel" is in Hamamet or Yasmine Hamamet, there will only be two of us going, so is it advisable to try and book transfers through booking agent, would that be cheaper and how much is alot when it comes to paying for transfers ? any other advice would be great, although I have read alot of the posts on here and picked up a few tips, one thing is it ok to take small dvd player with us, we are going for two weeks and like some time at night relaxing watching tv before we sleep.

I was watching Thomas Cook TV and it featured this hotel and I'm sure it was in Hammamet and not Hammamet Yasmine. Have you tried looking on the Hotel Reviews part of HT? That might help confirm one way or another .
yes I thought it was in hamamet as well, it was only after reading a post on here that I had doubts,
I have been surfing the net looking for info,
just worried about the transfers now and would rather get them booked or know at least what to expect when trying to book once there, and rough idea what to pay,
went to torremolinos last christmas and went on the day trip to tangier and that was confusing enough trying to work out what to pay when buying things, when you dont know what the right price is to pay for something.(hope that makes sense)
thanks again
Wilma
thanks for the reply, I booked holiday on Friday night so waiting on confirmation leter etc to come through post, I never thought of emailing the hotel, had this dreadful thought of calling hotel trying to talk to someone on the phone who didnt understand what I was trying to say, I know that sounds daft but thats the kind of thing that happens to me.

Hello Wilma,
Hammamet Gardens Hotel and would like to know of other travellers experiences with this hotel and surrounding areas. we did all the tours, medinas, camel rides and pirate ships last time and just want somewhere close to a nice clean beach to relax, soak up the sun and have some nice places to dine out in during our time there. Would this hotel fit the bill?
Thanks.
Me and my girlfriend went to Tunisia 3 years ago and stayed in the Sinbad hotel in sousse, now we would like to go back again as we had a nice time with some great weather, right now we are looking at the Thanks.
