Well we have booked

we are going to cala n bosch on the 21st july for 2 wks we have never been there before we have been down the other end at the salgar, so this is going to be a big change for us, we are fun loving 50yr olds Have we picked the wrong place

We are staying at the siesta playa and have read some reviews which don`t sound that good

if anybody can shine any light on as to weather we will fit in and as anyone been to this hotel recently i would be pleased to here what you have to say about it. We are going from east mids is there anyone one else going when we go

Hi Pip don't know anything about the hotel but the resort looks good.A small harbour with lots of restuarants to choose from and evening entertainment in various bars.The beach looks very nice and well kept.We too go to S'Algar,we have been going there about 26years now and it gets quieter each time we go.We are infact going on friday morning for 7 days.If i were to go anywhere else on the island I think it would be Cal'n Bosch it seems to have a bit of everything.Have you visited there at all?

No not been there before i`v been to menorca about 5 times now and always been down salgar end apart from once when we had a villa but that was between es gra(sp) and mahon, My partner has been going for about 12 yrs and he as never been there so its going to be new for us both, We just thought it would be like a new holiday place, even tho we do have a car and go to different places and beaches. I am looking forward to it but just worried that it will be to much for us as its reading like its all young familys that go there, and to be honest we have done all that. But hey it might be the best place we have been :tup

Hi Pip, we started going to CNB as 2 fun loving 40 year olds, after visiting every year for the last 10 years (twice last year, we slipped an extra 2 weeks in), we are now fun loving 50 year olds. The marina is busy on a night with plenty or restaurants and bars, and people watching. We tend to go into Cuitadella most nights on the bus. We like a bit of a "bar" crawl. I will be surprised if you do not enjoy CNB.

Dave we had to book it in a rush as we transferred it at the last min. We normally do a lot of research into where we go but this time did not get the chance.

I would also say CNB is one of my favourite resorts and I am sure you will have a great time. No lager louts and attractive surroundings.

Not been to hotel so fingers crossed on that.

I don't think you need worry. A lot of people think Cala'n Bosch is one of the better resorts on the island and I tend to agree. I have been to Menorca 4 times in as many years, toured all round the island and stayed in different resorts each time. Although I have only visited in September and October when it is a lot quieter than July, I think I would pick it over S'Algar just because it has a bit more life to it and because it is close to Ciutadella which we like. I only know the hotel from a wander round the pool once. It's location right next to the beach is good and it looked ok from the outside but that's all I know I'm afraid.

Thanks to you all,We are going to have a ball no matter what reading lots and lots on the place now and it looks as if we will prefare it to the salgar area. read so much feel as if i know the place allready.

We go on Wednesday 18th, cant wait...started packing already lol. One word of warning if you go on the beach its very expensive to rent a sun bed so what we done last year was buy a lilo each and build a mound of sand at the head of it, nice and comfortable. Yes I am Scottish :tongue

Its 18th June I go, went july last year and the temp hit 104f for 11 days, first three days it was a cool 86f

Hi Walks, hope you have a great holiday, we are going to Cala N Bosch for the first time in September, first time to Menorca actually and are really looking forward to it.
