Poor you, it is so bad that you have saved and anticipated a lovely break and it goes wrong :(

I have been lucky so far with Kosmar (touch wood!). Mind you we have been going to the same resort for many years so don't have anything to do with the reps once we are in resort.

What sort of "bad holiday" - bad accommodation, bad resort, illness?

We have travelled with Kosmar over a dozen times now and never had a "bad holiday". The last trip we had an awful delayed journey home but the holiday itself was great. Kosmar are very difficult to beat on prices but you need to read accommodation descriptions carefully and do some homework on the resort. They are fairly truthful in the brochure and say if somewhere is "on a main road" or "simple" - we always choose ones that say "quiet", "well recommended", "high standard", etc. and have always been satisfied with the accommodation. Also as we always hire a car for at least part if not all the trip, the resort itself is not quite so crucial - I'd be bored to spend any holiday entirely in one place.

Kosmar have been getting a bad reputation for changing flights, recently but I suppose thats part of the cost cutting to keep the prices so low. As they say, you get what you pay for.

Can you expand on what was 'bad' with your holiday and we can then give you some informed advice on what to do and how to go about it :)

Kosmar are a def. no-no as far as I'm concerned. Our actual holiday was fine because I know the resort really well but the flights were an absolute nightmare. I eventually bought myself a ticket home with a different company. The other 18 people in the party were disgusted at the treatment we received from Kosmar

I've travelled with Kosmar quite a few times, once being 2 weeks ago. Had a great holiday with them to Greece; apartments just as described and area as described. Although we were delayed a few hours going out there and delayed a few hours returing, but nothing major.

I would definately book with them again, their prices are hard to beat.

we went with Kosmar this year, we lost 10 and a half hours due to flight changes coming home, should have been leave crete at 1630 but instead we were picked up at 0530, the apartments left a lot to be desired but on the whole we had a good holiday

We have travelled to Greece three times a year for a number of years and always with Kosmar. We are booked again for 7th October and 15th May. We have had no cause to complain. :D

I have recently returned from Santorini using Kosmar, we also had one flight change then delays both ways but only a few hours each time.

Some others staying at our hotel had a delay of 4 hours from the UK and 9 hours going back.

Our rep was very helpful and the apartments were basic which we expected from reading the brochure but very nice and well kept.

Have traveled with Kosmar a few times apart from an airline change this year which we where told about months in advance we have had no problems (touch wood). We have had no quarms about going with them next year. Our worst was to Zante with Manos NAFF apt`s bad flights and an over officias member of staff on olympic at zante airport

i have always found them to be very good just reyurned from chania with them and everything was just as i expected :D

We have travelled with Kosmar a couple of times and are going to book with them again next year. We have just returned from Parga and everything was fine; flights on time, superb accommodation. Also the rep, Richard, was very helpful and always had time for a chat. Would have no hesitation in recommending Kosmar. :D

:? Thank you everyone for all your comments, we have just returned from Halkidiki and had what could only be described as a holiday from hell. Our flight was delayed for over 6hrs going out, when we arrived we had no rep to show us our apt, all the keys were just layed out on a wall with a map of the complex with our names on a piece of paper with the allocated room number. There were two construction sites at the front and back of our apt, there was a builders merchants to the side of our apt, and the apt itself was very poorly maintained, we had wood rot on one of the beds and mildew in the kitchen cutlery drawer, Ants in both kitchen and bathroom, but we were lucky here because some people who we spoke to had cockroaches in their apts. We had a rubbish dump in between our front balcony and the building sites that contained fridges and builders rubble. The workmen would often use this place as a toilet.
When we went to see our rep, she was dismissive and very unproffessional did not want to resolve any of these issues. :cry:
People who traveled with JMC to the same place was in fact told of all the building works two weeks before holiday makers flew out and was offered a full refund or to be moved to another resort. We have had a very bad holiday and could not wait to come home.
I have not wrote this to complain to anyone has we have done this to the company I just wanted to know if there was any one who had expereienced a similar holiday.

Never had any trouble with all the times we have booked Kosmar, well not with the accommodation. Last year the flights were dreadful. We departed Newcastle to Greece. But our return journey we had to land in Manchester, which we thought well ok, to pick passengers up flying out, then on to Newcastle but we had to leave the plane in Manchester, go through passport control again, this was after the Manchester passengers had got on, then we had to just find a seat then on to Newcastle, we were about 2 hours in Manchester before flying on. Kosmar did not want to know. This was not the only time this had happened and the Manchester people were not aware they were going to Newcastle first. Kosmar do not keep people informed

we too have just returned from a holiday to halkidiki where we stayed at ioli village.we were shocked to discover that our apartment backed on to a building site that was in full working order,dumper trucks,sand lorries and jcb all active and extremeley noisy at 6.00 a/m every morning.we had to endure a builders yard as our view from the front and to make matters worse when we spoke to our rep she was very dismissive and defensive with us.we felt as though we had no one to turn to,after having saved all year for our week in the sun it turned into a week of hell.the airport experience was also something that we found very daunting,especially with two small children.there was no communication from any kosmar representative and no-one seemed to knoww hat they were doing or where they should be going!
our holiday was ruined,all because kosmar didnt inform us by way of a simple letter of the building works before we went.

:bawl We too had the same building works going on and the rep did not want to help at all. we have now wrote to kosmar for a full refund and will never again travel with them.
The rep was also very rude and did not even want to resolve the matter for us.

I know this has been said before but Kosmar do not have their own airline so they cannot be responsible for flight delays/changes. We have used Kosmar and found them to be the best value when compared to Olympic, First Choice etc. We might have been lucky but we haven't been delayed or had poor accommodation, quite the opposite. Flights bang on time and brilliant accommodation (brochure did not do accommodation justice!). :tup PS. Our rep was brilliant.

You only find out how good your rep. really is when you experience a problem!!!

Have found the Kosmar reps to be very helpfull and informative compared to the reps from Manos JMC(as was) First choice, all they seemed intrested in was the trips they do and the cash for them
