Hiya. I would recommend Ayia Napa, not because of the clubbing. I don't like clubbing, just the bars and restaurants. There are some lovely places near the main beach in Ayia Napa, but not sure of the names of them, as only walked past them, didn't take much notice of the names!! I know the Thalssakki Beach Hotel on Nissi Avenue does self catering. They are used by Airtours.
Ive never actually been to Cyprus but have booked to go to Paphos in Sept. On what ive read i would suggest Paphos. There are many hotels/apartments near the harbour where you will find restaurants and bars. There are small beach around the coast but i believe they are ok not as nice as Coral bays beach which is about 30minutes away by bus. Coral Bay is alot quieter than paphos they alos have restaurants and bars.
In Paphos there are many sites to see that are all close together. At the harbour there is the castle, the lighthouse, mosaics. There is also Tomb of the Kings futher up but this may not be suitable for the 60yr olds.
I have been told that the public transport is really good ecspecially the buses as there frequent and not to expensive. Paphos looks beautiful.
Im sure you will get many replies to this post from people that live and visit cyprus very often so im sure they will be able to advise you alot more.
Two 60 year olds in Agia Napa, I don't think so not for us oldies , go to Paphos you will have a great time more suited to our age group..
I think Ayia Napa is suited for any age group, as You don't have to go anywhere near The Square if you want a quiet time. There's lovely restaurants near the harbour, and along Nissi Avenue! Im not far off being 40 so I think of myself as a "nearly-there" oldie!
My wife is 52 and I am 48 and we both love Protaras, plenty of bars, restaurants and the beaches are great. It all depends what your personal taste is really. But wherever you go I am sure you will have a great time.
You could try the Tasia Maris gardens on Nissi Ave, Sandy Bay beach is a stones throw away, and you can eat across the road at the Tasia Maris Beach (Thomsons Gold hotel for Adults only). The Tasia Maris Gardens are with Thomsons.
If it was our first trip to Cyprus, but I had the knowledge I now have about the island I'd be going to Larnaca.
There are plenty on SC places in the town centre, Livadhiotis, Petrou Bros, Onisillos are all apartment hotels within walking distance of the prom, town centre shops and beach.

I agree that PRotaras/Pernera are good places for the slightly older generation. Im sure wherever you go, you will have enjoy your holiday. Have fun!
I think Napa is for all ages
We are just back from our annual visit and this year there were not as many young mad ones over there more families and people in their 30-50s
OK but not for this oldie..
