Hi
Not really alot in it regarding weather during the daytime, both months could be hot without being unbearable, although it could be a little chilly at night in May, it will definately be chilly in October running into November..... all the places should be open in Benidorm in May, but theme parks may not by the end of October/November...not sure on that, don`t have much to do with theme parks these days :D
I would go for MAY.....I`m going in the beginning of June, so it had better be hottish. :D

Another thing to remember, is that by going at the end of May and running into the beginning of June, then you are approaching the longest day of the year (21st June) where it won`t get dark until approx 10 pm...and it never seems to get pitch black, as apposed to October when the clocks change again and you`ll have less daylight hours....so, it`s def May from me, but this is just my personal view if I had to make the choice with children.

If you want to visit the Theme Parks with your children whilst in Beni, (as I'm sure you will want to) then I would agree with Sanji and go in May, as these places do tend to either close completely, like Aqualandia,(thats the water park up near Mundomar), or reduce their hours towards the end of the year. The Summer and Winter seasons in Beni seem to take place litterally overnight.

Terra Mittica will probably only be open at Weekends in October (at least it was only open weekends when I was there last October). Mundomar, I think thats open all year round except Christmas Day......but again it would be best to visit in May, as the park is set on the side of a mountain, and it can get very chilly up there sitting on the concrete watching the shows.(they used to supply little rubber mats to sit on, but they don't anymore for some reason).

I'm not too sure about the opening hours for Terra Natura, but to be honest if you can't get there you will not have missed anything really. Its just a gloried zoo, (and not a very good one at that) and as an animal lover I found it very depressing  and upsetting :( .....anyway, I digress. I'd take Sanji's advise if I was you and go in May, simply because it will be a lot warmer and all the Parks will be open. :P

The Oudoor Market is open all year round. Some of the pubs and clubs close up towards the end of October, but there is an abundance to choose from so that should not pose too much of a problem. The swimming pool at the Helios Hotel is covered and heated in the Winter months, and is open to non residents at a very small nominal charge.....3€ I think.

In addition to this, if this helps you to decide, Benidorm's clientelle tends to change towards the end of the year, and is populated by the more senior hoiliday makers.....there are still children around but not so many I find, as there are in the months at the beginning of the year.

All in All, baring your children in mind, I would definately opt for May, rather than October......but as they say.....the decision is yours

Have a super holiday whatever you decide :wave

Hope so hun :D mine are going in the case, I`ve been at this time of the year and it can still be varied, you cannot guarantee full blast sunshine everyday, but when it is sunny, then it is hot, I wish I knew what the weather will be like, but alas I`m good but not that good. :rofl :rofl :rofl
Don`t worry if you don`t pack the appropriate clothes, they are as cheap as chips in Benidorm.EG: a pair of shorts or 3/4 trousers for around €10, which is about £6...the same for jumpers, ok, they are not designer clothes and some will probably fall apart on washing, but if you are cold then they serve the purpose, and you can afford to dump them at the end of the holiday.....the maids have had some clothes from me. :D
My advice would be to take some strappy tops, it`s suprising how you can obtain a tan just walking up and down, a cardigan/ light coat and a pair of trousers/jeans for the evenings and then you`ll be sorted for both extremes of temperature....and if you are still cold then you can buy a COAT for 10 quid.
Plan for the sun when packing, with the majority of clothes based around warm weather
I tend to layer my clothes...I wear a strappy top, then a T-Shirt, then a cardigan or bodywarmer, and one by one I peel them off.
Have a look at my video from last year :D and if you want anymore info then shout or PM me.

We went in may last year and the weather was good.
Idon't think we had one bad day.
We had the pleasure of meeting Sanji and her hubby who were very good
in showing us around a bit.
She certainly knows her stuff.
Hope you enjoy yourself.

If you click on this link, you will see a graph that shows average monthly temperatures in Benidorm compared to the same month in London. Hopefully the graph might be of assistance to you.

You can see that the temperature for May hovers around 20-22 degress (if I've read the chart right ). Not sure what that equates to in fareinheight, sorry.

But as Sanji has said, if you have not packed the appropriate item of clothing, its very easy to purchase something in one of the many "Todos 6 € ' shops which will see you through your holiday.

The following link will take you to a graph that will give you some idea on the Humidity in Benidorm by month compared to the same in London.

A rough guide and quick way is to always double it and then add 30 and then take away 1....22 degree C would be.......
2 x22=44
44+30=74
74-1= 73 degrees Farenheit.

Nice picture posting BHIC

:) I have never been in Benidorm, but we have a villa in Javea which is not far from Benidorm .
We usually spend our holidays there in October and had always fine weather with sun in the last years.
And what is very important with children : the water in the sea and in the pool is much warmer
