Thanks for that Malcolmhelen, is the weather very humid though? also if you dont mind where about in Mexico are you going? We have already booked to stay at the Riu Tequila next March so not concerned about hurricanes then lol. Thought about the Vallerta side but very unsure what to do :que

Just remember that it is still hurricane season and Mexico is well known for being a victim of their devesatating powers (not trying to scare you off, but something to bare into mind).

I have noted on another forum, that a lot of Americans going to Mexico in hurricane season, purchase 'hurricane insurance', as your normal holiday insurance doesn't pay out for adverse weather conditions. Does anyone know whether it is possible to purchase this cover in England? We are going to Mexico in September and although I knew when I booked the holiday, that it was hurricane season, it would be good to have this extra insurance.
Thanks Denny

We stayed at the GBP Coba for the last 2 weeks of September last year and although there were a couple of bad days with heavy rain and strong winds, the complex was geared for it. You have to use the buses to get around and they immediately roll down the side covers. I noticed that there were hurricane metal shutters ready to click into place on the bedroom patio doors.
The worst day we had was also the day we went deep sea reeling - like fishing but you only reel. It poured the entire time we were out at sea and the crew just got buckets of sea water to throw over us to warm us up if we got too chilly.
looking back we can only remember the heat and not the rain!
I have to admit that the snorkelling off the Conrad in Sharm wins hands down on the area we were in, but it was still recovering from the Hurricane at the beginning of the month.
