Hi, looking for some advice from someone! There is a large party of us going to Candolim early next year, (8 th visit) we normally stay at The phoenix but are considering The Highland this time. Having looked on the website - First Choice, they only specify a twin room for 3 people, (meaning the 3rd person would have to sleep on the bed settee) but I know that the Highland have twin room apartments with 2 bathrooms.
I have spoke with FC and they say they only have these rooms allocated to them.
Has anyone any ideas what to do? or have Highland number/fax?
a) try to contact the hotel direct and ask to upgrade?
b)????

Hi Goanne; we went to the Highland last year, with First Choice, and got a room for three; it was a double room and a twin, both en-suite, with shared living room & kitchen, so we could -and did- sleep four or even five, when we used the settee. (We've been going there for years so the security people didn't mind our guests) Don't know why FC aren't doing the same this year, though we did have to try loads of travel agents to get it! Hope this helps...

GoaDragon - thanks maybe I will just book as 3 adults and hope they give us a twin bedroom, whats the Highland like now it has expanded so much? we normally stay at the Phoenix but because there are few of us decided to change to Highland, as we stayed there in 1998 and 1999.

Hi Goanne, our reservation confirmation came by email from highland_goa@sancharnet.in from Neela Sawant Assistant Reservations Manager.
The Highland is now huge and they are still building although it has moved further away from the main block, they have started to build at the back too. Don't know where it will end. It hasn't changed things much, other than there being more accommodation though.

Thanks Goanne. Mr P's sister and her husband have bought one of the new apartments at the Highland so we will be using that (or one very similar). We will be checking on the progress of our apartment at Regal Park (opposite the Highland reception) and checking out what to do about furniture when it's finished at Christmas. Hopefully we will get some time to hit the beach as well.
