Hi Sonesta ... just in case you are not aware, we do actually have an All Inclusive Holidays forum, where you may find some useful info about various resorts for your friends.

We stayed in the Barcelo las Margaritas HERE in Playa del Ingles last Easter. Most brochures sell it as half-board (or self-catering in the annexe) but you can upgrade to all-inclusive on arrival. It's a lovely hotel, good variety of food with a big buffet at all mealtimes, catering for all tastes. Good variety of all-inclusive drinks and a selection of very nice snacks from the pool bar in between restaurant times.
We had a spacious room at the hotel for 3 of us - I think they may do family rooms there too, or they may be able to accomodate a larger family in one of the apartments.
Wasn't so keen on Playa del Ingles itself, a bit characterless and "European" but the hotel was one of the nicest we've been to.

You say your friend wants either Gran Canaria, Tenerife or Majorca... We have just returned from Fuerteventura from the Caleta Dorada (First Choice) They have Kids Den rooms (a two-bedroomed apartment which sleeps up to 5, with themed decoration and PS2 for hire). We stayed all-inclusive, and it was fantastic. The hotel has kids clubs but if the kids aren't into clubs there's still plenty of entertainment and games going on during the day.
Fuerteventura is a lovely island, quite near Gran Canaria and has pretty much the same weather. There are excursions to the waterpark and also an animal park with camel rides. The beach near where we stayed is nice and safe for kids.
Hope this is helpful.

Look no further than Taurito Princess in Gran Canaria. It has everything you are looking for and family suite rooms are available, however i feel they may be a little bit pricey. You get what you pay for though and this really is a top quality hotel and worth every penny spent. The family suite rooms are at either end of each floor and have a main living room area with separate bedroom space..
