Help on finding ideal location?

My boyfriend and I are talking about going somewhere for a short break, maybe a couple of nights.

Money is pretty short, so we'd need somewhere that's pretty cheap in both staying and getting there (we'll be going by train).

Ideally, the place would be fairly quiet but with lots of things to do. We live in Hull, Yorkshire so somewhere up North would be perfect.

Oh and we'd like to stay in a B&B if possible, so if anyone could suggest any of those then I'd be so greatful.

What about Anglesey, Some lovely B&B here, And you can pop to Ireland for a day if you wish.

What about York? Lovely city and not too far away

You could try http://www.marmadukesexpress.com for good, cheap accommodation. It's a hostel but very smart and they have private double rooms with en-suite.

@paul+3: I never thought of Anglesy, Bangor crossed my mind though. I've been to Anglsey once before, though all I can remember is the big long bridge getting there. :lol:

I will look into it though.

@marcuschap72: I've been looking at York, but wow- Marmadukes looks great. A four-poster for £25 doesn't sound too bad. Hopefully it's as good as it sounds!

If anyone could help with similar cheap places in Whitby, or other destinations, that would be great.
