Not sure where to post this so have whacked it in here. Every couple of years we go abroad for holiday but we usually go to either a greek island or one of the balaerics HOWEVER, am looking around for cheap holidays and was wondering what mainland spain is like...are there just as many nice beaches as there are in Majorca>? I can't really find any informationas to what 'costa' is best for families (we are a mid 30's couple with 2 kids, boy aged 9 and a girl aged 5)..just like doing the normal things but dont want too many 'lager louts' spoiling it (yes i know they are everywhere), and not knowing the areas or anyone who has been to mainland spain on hols it is hard to get any info.
What should i be looking out for? Am looking for a reasonably priced holiday so any 4 or 5 star places will probably be out of the question!
Anyway...thanks for any help and pointers in advance and if this is in the wrong forum i apologise
Many of the Main Spanish resorts are similar to the ones you will find on Majorca. They cater for the British tourist in much the same way. However there are also many other quieter places with a more cosmoplitain customer base. If you just want a beach and a few bars then you could try Rosas or Estartit on the Costa Brava.
HI....try siesta coach holidays...if you want a bit of unspoilt spain...no larger louts you will love Calella de Palafrugel....if you want plenty of fun for the kids and a sandy beach and easy to get flights then Salou....tweetie
