Hello Shardia, take a look at the post I put up on this forum a bit further down the list called ( All you need to know about Malta ) this makes a good starting point for any new comers. It gives a bit of an insight to most things Hotels & nightlife, in my veiw it pays to book at least a 4* hotel as some of the 3* may seem only like 2* in most other places.

I agree with Dave about the star rating. When pricing up you holiday don't forget to look at the Chevron brochure They are Malta specialists and I have always found their prices to be favourable compared to the "big" tour operators.

I would suggest Sliema as a starting point - not far from Paceville where all the night life is. Only problem there is no nearby beaches.
