It'll be roasting - pushing 90-odd. But...

Use a high sunfactor, and don't overdo the sun - you will still come home with a terrific tan.
Wear a hat if necessary, & use the sunshades.
Make good use of the pool and sea to cool off, and drink plenty of soft drinks during the day.
Although it will be hot, it will not be very humid - the heat is more bearable than 70-80 in the UK.

Finally, be careful with the kids - factor 50, best bought over here, hats T-shirts.

It'll be great........

Rest assured, what Alan says about the humidity is right. I can't stand it when the temp here gets to the high 20's. We've been to Egypt in the mid 40's and I found that much much easier.

It will be roasting, I love the sun and found the only way I could sunbathe was on a lilo floating in the pool - spent the rest of the time in the shade under an umbrella. To be honest you have to spend a fraction of the time actually baking in the sun to get a brilliant tan! Our first trip to Egypt was to Luxor and that was in the 50s some days but never put us off, followed that with a holiday to Sharm then El Gouna, and going back to El Gouna again this year!

Hi, I'm going back to Sharm for 4 time in two years. Have been in late May late June and November, and am going in late june again.

It will be hot at that time for sure but there are pros :D and cons: :(

cons: :(
Need lots of cream if sunbathing and spend less time - a lot less!
Walking around can get tiring more quickly
Need to drink 3 litres of water every day - need to do that anyway really
Alcohol will wipe you out during the day
Stay in shade more

Pros: 8)
Less time on sunbed to get a tan! (if thats what you like)
Lovely and warm in evenings - can be very cool in winter
Sea even warmer will be about 25+ by then
Snorking and diving will be better - diving great time to see big stuff
No flies!! In November they drove us nuts....

Just keep covered and watch the kids in the sun.

Enjoy.

I'm afraid the information is in correct quoting"pushing 90s" i do not mean to be disrespectful to Alan, but do you mean at 11pm? We nearly always go in the summer months and even in July the thermometer smashed on the beach reaching 135 degrees at 2pm. Night time was really warm around 90s and never really cooled down.

When we were on the beach there was a lot of kiddies with red arms, backs and legs and it was very frightening to watch admittingly it was the russians, but even so, i was very upset.

August has to be the worst time to take kids of that age, unless you intend keeping them in the shade, or venturing to the pool or sea at 8am when it is already 70s. After 9am it is extremely hot, so much so one of the divers in our gang had second degree burns from the sand, it melted his flip flops, it ruined his holiday.

The best time to take really young children is the winter month up to April.

if you go ahead with your holiday, then please put total sun block on, already mentioned, hats and t.shirts, and for them to drink plenty of water. Restaurant owners told us that alot of people, adults and kids do collapse because of dehydration.

I am a sun lover and dont even go under the shade, but i can tell you it is extreme heat, and burns, and is very painful.

I hope the travel agent that sold you the holiday mentioned how hot it will be. August is the hottest month with july.

Please take care xx
