Hi, We've just booked our flights for next year with Jet 2. We are flying to Murcia and spending a week in Los Alcazaras with the in-laws then going to Benidorm for a week and flying back from Alicante.
Flights, taxes, baggage charges and Visa charges were only £388.00 return for the 4 of us which we thought was a bargain.
It has worked out cheaper in July than in May which is when we usually go, I just hope it's not too hot for us.
We are now looking for a hotel for the second week, 21st-28th July in Beni.
I have looked at the usual Travel Republic, Go 2 Spain, W.S.H. Alpha Rooms and a couple more but can't decide which hotel to go to or who to book with.
We would have liked to stay in the Pelicanos again but rooms for 4 don't seem to be available. We are possibly considering either the Rosamar or the Los Dalmatas but both seem to have good and bad things on the reviews so we are still undecided.
Can anyone offer any advise or better still find us a wicked deal
I am going to Beni 23rd -28th September so I'll probably pop in a few hotels that I haven't visited before to check them out before we book anything.
Thanks in advance.
Sue
P.S. Has anyoner ever booked with http://www.cheapholidays.com and if so, were they ok?
Cant really help you with this one Sue. Obviously you'll want hotels with good kids facilities, and I tend to avoid them!! Last hotel i stayed in was quite nice The Avenida, but nothing there for kids. I'm going to the Belroy on Thursday, so will check that out for you, but again i'm pretty sure there wont be too much for young uns there either. You're using all the sites i normally use so cant expand your search options really either. I've sometimes seen good prices for The Presidente Hotel, which usually gets reasonable reviews and is of course central, but not sure of kids facilities there either. Benidorm Centre Hotel again might be an option. I was going to be going to Beni myself around the time you are going, because my mate is out playing in a couple of bars then, but Dad aint too well at the moment, and E'vonne is looking after him whilst i'm away, and she is busy then so i've had to bring my visit forward otherwise i wouldnt have got away at all. So you've had a narrow escape! I'll catch up with you one of these days!
Hi sue is it four adults or 2 adults 2kids if kids are in you party what age will they be see if i can help out cheers mazza
Hi Mazza, it's 2 adults and 2 kids who will be 14 and 7 next year.
Sue, is it just the hotel you are looking for, or is it flights and hotel?
Does anyone know if men still have to wear full length trousers for dinner at the Dalmatas?
Thanks in advance
Sue
Sue, Sanji has stayed at Dalmatas loads of times
Will keep looking, and will report back, if I find anything, (Although going to beni tommorow- as you know!), so It will prob be when I get back!)
Thank you though for pricing it up, I appreciate it.
Sue
p.s. Thanks Danny, I'll send Sanji a p.m. and ask her.
Hi sue, - no worries at all - completely understand about being told what table to sit at though I wouldn't like that either - but can honestly say in all the times we have stayed here, we were never told what table to sit at, we just sat wherever we wanted! - Have a look on that site sue, as other hotels were available too, also try moneysupermarket.com, they go through all the different holiday companies to find you the best price!
find-rooms.com is part of W.S.H. and I get an 8% discount with them but they don't seem very competitive for us next year.
The best site that I've found so far is http://www.cheapholidays.com who are part of flightline. They are offering the Dalmatas for £553.34 Half Board and 590.03 Full Board for the 4 of us but as it's only one room, I am trying to establish if they put you in a double room and squeeze 2 extra beds in or if it's a larger room.
Sue
Have you tried emailing the hotel direct for a quote? Then you could just "Add" a couple of questions in!

I can recommend the Rio Park but don't know about family rooms.
Thanks Jools but usually when the Rio Park comes up it's shows 2 rooms for the 4 of us which works out expensive.
I have just booked with http://www.holidayroomsdirect.com for the Los Dalmatas Full Board £548.67 for the 4 of us for 7 nights.
My only concern is that I have read that this hotel maybe closing shortly for refurbishment and if it does and we have to change our booking then we may be limited to where we can stay if it's at late notice.
Has anyone stayed here and shared a room for 4? If so was it larger than the standard rooms? I did read about a family of 4 who were put in a small room and then moved to a larger one after complaining about lack of space. We have requested a family/larger room on a low floor with a sunny balcony, we don't want much do we?
Sue
