I always take the thinner ones. Not enough weight or space for the nice fluffy jobbies
Only take small thin ones, use the Hotel ones in the room in any event and they have a towel service at the pool area, so only need for away from the hotel.
I buy those think one's once in resort and then leave them behind
Well over the years we seem to have ended up with about 200 towels in our household so we just choose a couple to take and leave them at the end of the holiday. Now though we got a couple of thin ones from tenerife (about 3 euros) and they are perfect as they are so light and are great for lying on!
WOW i never thought of the weight of the towles , as they are a necessity. Only take the one each , as not really needed for drying only lying on . I bought ours from Shaws drapers a few years ago and only keep them for holidays ., so they are still thick and fluffy. Will look out for thinner lighter towels before i go , and then leave them behind to free up precious luggage space for the return journey
i just buy the nasty cheapo towels, as long as they last me for two weeks, as my other half leaves them with most of his other stuff, more room in the suitcase for sleeves of ciggies he says
I am told that The Marmaris Park, Iclemar provide towels but require a deposit. I go on 8th May so will confirm when I get back. The Laura Beach, Paphos also provide towels - 10 euro deposit if I remember correct.
fwh
I always take my own towel I have one I like and its always with me ...hubby does not take one no matter how many times I go on about it he still says no never in a million years could I go on to a sun lounger with no towel ..
One good thing about him not taking one is you can get more of your clothes in his case!!!!
does not get too wet. small one easy to rinse out too
i just leave the towels there when i leave, and pass the lilo onto anyone i see on my last day with white or red bodies.
i usually take a couple of shirts that are past their best (ie not suitable for work), and wear them to go to the pool/bar etc -as i hate to see people wandering in to a bar without a top - and just leave them as well, as trying to get greasy suntan lotion off is too much hassle.
My wife just got a thin Hello Kitty beach towel from Home Bargains for £3.99!
My mum actually mentioned this the other day, she said she was going to leave her nice towels at home and get some thin ones. I hadn't thought of it before either but they do take up a lot of room in the case and I never actually dry myself with the towel, I only lay on it. I think I may have a look for some thin ones, it also saves lugging thick towels down to the beach as I end up having to carry a huge beach bag with 4 towels in normally.
Hi kedi, look in Asda, they have 2 for £5,I've got some, they are ideal for taking, pink ,blue or stripey velour.T.
Thanks I will have a look
Kedi, Primark sell amazingly lightweight beach towels and have some lovely designs, can't remember the price but they must have been cheap because I bought all four of us one!
For the last few years we havn't really needed to take them as they have always been provided but the control freak in me says I still have to take mine .I like to have 2 on each bed anyway and I would worry that the clean hotel ones wouldnt be available for my early morning sunbed run.
Twin pack of beach towels £7. velour material assorted colours , didn't open a pack to see the size or to feel the thickness didn't have time , will probably go back at the weekend and buy them tho .By the way they were in Primark .
I think I shall take a look in Primark later then.
