Same here.We always enjoy our holidays, & if something doesn't suit, we soon get over it.

You are right Helen, I am sure you will be fine. Everyone is different and we all like different things. We have stayed at hotels where some of the reviews havnt been too good and have had a great holiday. I hope you enjoy yours.

Well its sunday afternoon and i am bored and freezing cold and thinking as usual about our holiday in the hot caribbean sun.
I Booked the holiday to the Iberostar Costa Dorada last April 2008 and i cant believe it is now February 2009.
The time has certainly flown by.
I do still have another 250 Sleeps to go though and am still very excited about going.

Hi This will be our first time to the DR and also our first time abroad.
We are really looking forward to it with the exception of my husband he doesnt know its a birthday surprise for him,
I keep the count down clock on my laptop desk top so sad really i shouldnt wish my life away.

Just seen your post and we have 93 sleeps now whhhhheeeeeeeeee.
It cant come quick enough now especially with the weather report of all this snow going to land on us over the next few days.I have got all my essentials packed and ready sad I know but I cant help it, now I know we are on our way to ICD after all the trauma I went through with that cancellation.
Cant wait to lie on the beach with the sun beating down and a glass of Iberostar Cocktail in my hand LOL

We have been only to the ICD so far now been going for the last 5 years, this year will be our 6th. Actually we nearly ended up at the Iberostar Bavaro this year due to Thomsons cancelling our first holiday dates for ICD but managed to get rebooked for slightly earlier dates.
You will love the Iberostar chain and especially the Bavaro, it is the best out of the 3 on the resort you are going to, the plus side of being at the Bavaro is you can use all the facilities at the other 2, where the other 2 Dominicana and Punta Cana cannot use your facilities.Here is a link that might help you.

Have done lots of research on this resort as it will be our next holiday resort.
Quite a few of the staff have moved from the ICD to the Bavaro as well, the food at these resorts are brilliant, the staff very friendly and helpful and cant do enough for you to make your stay perfect.

With no thanks at all to Virgin who pulled the plug on our St. Lucia trip on 26th march my wife and myself will now visit Aruba in June with First Choice at the Tamarijn for 2 weeks from Manchester.

We are off to the Riu Palace Mexico in Playacar on the 18th Sept 2009, not worked out how many sleeps but it seems a long way off yet.

Good price as well, 5 adults @ £1120 each from Manchester for 2 weeks AI

38 sleeps until our first visit to the DR. Flying from Gatwick on the 18th March to the Dreams Punta Cana.

Looking at the snow outside, the thought of the holiday is giving me a warm glow!

Anyone staying at Iberostar Cozumel in June 2009, just booked to go on 6th june09 with hubby, firts time in Mexico for both of us, very excited would love to hear from anyone booked to go around same time
