Has anyone found a policy that will cover medical bills if you are caught up in a terrorist attack.
I though axa through Portland did one as thats how it reads, but after speaking to the underwriters, if the country you are visiting has had a terrorist attack before you go, they will not cover you. I asked if this meant you would not be covered in the UK, he said that was right, you would not be covered.
We are going to Turkey this year, and whilst I consider it to be safer than LOndon, I would of liked cover.
does anyone know the answer, Or have I already found it !!
Would this also apply in the US? Also Egypt. The possibilities are endless. Sounds like an excuse not to pay out I think.
it is usually written within the small print.
If a terrorist attack does happen, usually the consulate / embassy from your own country steps in & helps you get home / costs etc
also if you saw the programme on the Egypt bombing none of the people injured were helped by the british government, hence my concern and question. I too thought the embassy would help, but they didnt !!!
