Hi

there are loads of cash machines in Gozo - on a quick count up, there are

Victoria - 4
Xlendi - 2
Marsalforn - 2

and others I'm sure - a mixture is sensible, just in case you lose one !
best card for using overseas is Nationwide as best exchange rates

I live in Gozo, so any other questions, just ask !

Hi verd16,

I tend to take all three and generally feel safer cashing travellers cheques because I'm more aware of what I am spending if you know what I mean. Other than for cash I normally use either a visa or american express credit card especially for large purchases such as car hire, and have never had a problem. Towards the end of my hols and when it seems daft to cash a travellers cheque since I only need a small amount of Maltese Liri, I then exchange some sterling. The rate you'll get for exchanging Maltese money back into sterling in the UK I have found in the past to be very poor.

Before you say it Sliema2 - I suppose I could keep any unspent money for my next visit!
