Sorry lallygirl, honestly didn't mean to be rude , just thought I was helping as I know how dear it can be for a small tube. Sorry
As for flippies/sandals with plastic/leather/manmade posts, i buy em, wear em once and send them to coventry in the back of the wardrobe!! give me my togs anyday!!

You weren't rude Bluebabe..... I just thought some people would be put off and not try it which would be a shame!I carry a large bag of lotions, potions and ungents and would not be without them
I find New Look toe post sandals very comfortable to wear and great value for money. I've just replaced a pair I had a couple of years ago and I practically lived in them all summer, they never rubbed me and I had a really comfortable leather pair from the Per-Una range in M&S. I think you can tell how comfortable they are when you first put your foot in. Some feel like wrapping your feet in barbed wire
Thanks lallygirl, I decant some from my big bottle into travel size bottles to take with me as, like yourself, I carry all kinds of lotions potions and ungents and my case would be well over weight It's useful for so many things I can't go anywhere without it.

Best advice I was ever given was from a friend a couple of years ago who advised me to take a pair of comfy, worn in trainers and a pair of ankle/trainer socks. Ohhhhhhhh what a relief
I know I don't look very glam in them but some evenings if we are just walking around I wear them with a pair of denim shorts and its such a relief for my poor footsies.
As for comfy sandals and footware, I get mine from Oxendales. They do upto size 9 in most styles and you have the choice of E fitting or extra wide EEE on some styles.

TIP Buy them a few weeks before you go and wear them around the house to soften them up
The vaseline tip is a great idea and I shall be packing a tub with all my Essentials for our next Holiday. Thankyou
I used vaseline on new sandals that were rubbing my heel and toe and I have been able to walk with no bother ....great advice, got out another "problem pair" from the bottom of the wardrobe and I am busy wearing them in now
Glad it worked for you blackcat1
How pleased am I to read this tip. I bought a small Vaseline and used it for a new pair of sandals. They are now worn in beautifully. I'm now onto the 2nd pair of sandals from Primark. I obviously have one foot wider than the other because one shoe is nearly there but the other is still tight and digging in. Still , I will persevere and hopefully by the end of July they will be comfy to take on my hols.
The good thing about using the vaseline as well is that they sell it in those little minature tins so they are easy to pop into your pocket or handbag for when you need to re-apply
Yep Shell..that's the one I bought. Keep it in my bag .

Heather..I was wearing two socks around the house in the beginning ..then I went out in the big wild world with the vaseline only and thought I needed to get a bit of body heat stretching the straps across the foot. I will have to persevere but now the weather has gone downhill and I don't want to wear them in the rain !It will give my poor feet a rest though then I can start again
Anyway, they are truly very comfy and the toe post part is made of a soft material rather than a hard bit of leather.....they aren't fancy for going out in the evening, but are handy for the pool/beach, and now I'm back from hols I wear them in the garden too. Anyway, enough of my blabbing, here they are:

For anyone interested Ideal World have Flyflots as their pick of the day tonight at 9pm.I shall probably be ordering my 12th pair.
Please refresh my memory...are they flipflops with toe posts?
Most styles are mules although I do have one pair with ankle strap. They are so comfy.Like walking on air.Never wear anything else all through the seasons and they do big sizes 8 and 9.
Try them.Ideal World do 30 day money back guarantee.
Cheers.
Thanks holidaylover...I do prefer mules with a slight heel or wedge rather than toe posts. I will take a look.
