i started taking my 2 girls to greece when they were very young. i found naxos the best island for them. its not a big party island and the beachs are nice but i found the town beach was better as the water was very shallow for a good distance. its also only 4 hours by fast boat from athens.
ive been taking Kitty to Greece for her birthday each year since she was 3, its a fantastic place for young kids, the people are great and welcoming and flexible when it comes to food etc, the amount of times me and Kitty have eaten out and she has not liked what she oredered and she has had it changed for no cost, I think sometimes it pays to find a nice beach though, kids dont tend to like the common shingle/pebble beaches but its down to personal choice at the end of the day

We took our first daughter to Greece at 5 months, she is now 15 and we have been most years. Go where you fancy but make sure there is a sandy beach. We went to Poros in Kefallonia with a 4yr old and 10 month old and the beach is pebbly. It was a nightmare! We have been to Skala Kalloni on Lesvos 3 times now and the sea is ideal for young ones. Theres a lot of seaweed in places but where there is none the beach is gently shelving so the sea is shallow.
Our son has been going to greece with us since he was six months old hes now ten and his sisters 2, We always try to make sure that we stay some where that has a pool as a previous post says not all the beaches are sand and most kids don`t like the pebble ones
