I would be very wary about young children riding horses in Turkey. Speaking as someone who has daughters with horses, you need to be aware that safety should be uppermost in your mind at all times when around them. I think it is unlikely that standards would be as high as in England, for example your children are highly unlikely to be given riding hats to wear. The general attitude towards safety is very casual in Turkey. There is nothing that would persuade me to allow any children I was responsible for to take part in this activity in Turkey. This is no reflection on my opinion of Turkey, I love it! Its just the way things are.

As previous reply I would be wary of children riding in Turkey I have 2 big horses of my own and am a competent rider I went on a safari last year near Marmaris and found it quite unorganised, the horses just followed the others and the guy leading us kept standing up on his horse and breaking into canters without warning hence all the others followed. The tack was very, very old and most uncomfortable several of us on the ride were covered in bruises at the end. Best to be avoided.

where was the stable lucy? best to name and help others avoid your experience.

Sorry didnt get name of stables but they were just outside of Marmaris and I booked them with the excursion shop near the Blue Rainbow but others on the trip had booked on the main road near to Tansas, they were really off the beaten track once we left the main road I am surprised the mini bus got us there.
