we stayed at the abrat 2 years ago and had a fab time, there were 4 of us, 2 in our 20's, 1 in her early 40's and 1 in her 50's and none of us felt out of place as it catered for all. There is a small beach just outside the back of the hotel but can get busy. We found a quiet beach where its mostly the locals that go to it. You turn left when you get out of the front of the hotel and walk along the main road, takes approx 10 mins to walk.
In general Abrat is situated in a quiet area however very accessible to the main strip and restaurants so you get the best of both worlds.
The staff at the abrat are very nice, food and hygiene was of a good standard and we would definately go back there ourselves.
Hope this helps, any other questions about the surrounding area just give us a shout.
