Yes you do have to pay a deposit for the safe it's located in your room.Sorry I can't rememember how much it was.
I've booked the Belvedere Hotel for October but I'm really concerned about some of the report written on the forum . Has anyone been recently that has enjoyed their stay or should I try and change hotels?
thanks
Karen
Hi Karen ... have you read our most recent reviews, both referring to holidays in June ?
Stayed there in july 2004 and we really enjoyed it, we thought the food was great! Yes they were strict about no inflatables in the pool but so are a lot of other hotels. We were annoyed when we arrived on the sunday people had inflatables in the pool so we went out and bought lilos on the moday only to be told you were not allowed , the lifeguard must have been on her lunch on the sunday( or day off). So we used to wait till she went for lunch and used the lilos in the pool until she came back!! I wouldn't hesitate in going back, hope this puts your mind at rest!
I stopped at a hotel just around the corner. The Belvedere looked very good from what I could see.
the only thing which i noticed was it was a lot more european than its neighbouring hotels seemed to be very popular with the russians and germans but doesnt affect your holiday
situated quite near to port aventura studios which isdefo worth a visit
have a great time
However, on further investigation i have read other reviews that are not quite so good with stories of rude hotel staff and maids stealing money and jewellery from the rooms. (Although most of these reviews are off the same group of young people that travelled together)
Has anyone out there stayed there recently and would be able to give me the real story?
We have reviews from someone just back from this hotel.
Stayed there july 04 and thought the hotel was great, food was good and could walk to port aventura. Didn't witness or hear of any stealing going on. I think you'll have a great time.
I've read the reviews and have to admit I'm a bit worried, and dont really know what to expect!
How good/bad is the hotel?
How near is it to the centre?
Also I'm taking my parents, who are in their early 70s. I get the impression that this may be their sort of hotel - would I be right in thinking this?
Anyone who can help, I'd be very pleased to hear from you.
Diggin up an old thread here but better than creating a new one, have talen the risk and booked Belvedere for 4 nights in April, was the cheapest around and we are full board, are any of the members still around that previously had concerns on the hotel or that have recently visited, a few mixed reviews around.
