Assuming it is the same star rating, I would certainly try to claim back the breakfast element of the holiday cost.

If the Opodo booking confrimation said bed and breakfast then this looks like a simple case of breach of contract. However, if the contract just says room and the hotel description said "complementary breakfast" it might be harder - but still go for it. You could try demanding the cost of the breakfasts and all the taxis and see if they offer a compromise.
