Hi Everybody
Is anybody going to Bahamas hotel in Playa den Bossa,we're going on May 23rd and would really like to know what changes have been made now that it is no longer a Fiesta hotel. We have already been 3 times and had great holidays so I'd appreciate any info, we're keeping our fingers crossed that it hasn't changed too much.
azuline hotels who now have the bahamas are well respected hoteliers on the island. they have the pacific, bergantin, mar amantis and others in the san antonio area and all enjoy a good reputation.
Thanks,Spottydog,we thought it was their first big hotel. We were told they had a small, expensive hotel the Casapla,I think.Their replies to our e-mails have been very friendly,so we think that's a good sign.
Just returned from here,it was our 4th visit, first time since new owners took over this year. There are not too many changes, most of the old staff,Gloria,Paco,Nando,Narita, and several others were still there, they all seemed quite happy with the new management, well, apart from Paco who never looks very happy at any time.Any changes that have been made are,in my opinion, for the better. There is still the option to buy bands for all-inclusive or just drinks. These were still terrific value.Fiesta animation team have been replaced by a very enthusiastic team, run by Ruth, all 6 members were great, not too pushy but would try to get everybody involved.Fiesti's can be redeemed at the Don Toni for entrance to the Aquapark or they can be exchanged for "BAMIS" that have similar values but can only be used next year at Bahamas.
There are lots of new plans for next season, rooms to be refurbished the front car park was being replaced with a lovely fountain,I think the whole hotel will be all-inclusive too, without a massive price increase. We will probably be going again next year ,as will most of the people we met !!
If anybody wants to know more I will be happy to help.
OSCARBEN was you there when eddie sang on stage at all.small old guy i know.from 19th may till.june 2nd...roadrunner they call him..fastwalks on the beach everyday
We were looking forward to hearing him but the entertainment was outside and it was so chilly that we went inside, thinking we would hear the announcement for him then missed him,our friends had heard him before and said he was very, very good. Were you there?
Next year the hotel should be 4 star all-inclusive.
nice chap if you get to know him.can be a but funny though.he used to sing years ago in his youth days.
you should have put a jumper on ot light jacket
We have been many times in the past but a bit nervous now that it is not part of the Fiesta group, we are going again mid July - do they still do the same sort of shows in the evening (Lion King, Mamma Mia etc)? Pleased to hear that yu can still buy the drinks bands Do you have an email address for the hotel?
Hiya everyone thinking of going to club bahamas later this year ,just wondered has it got air-conditioning in the rooms
Have posted a review,Lion King,Mama Mia etc were all done by Fiesta animation,so are no longer on,Ruth and her team are working hard to make new shows, some are quite good, some are not.If you really want to see Fiesta shows you could walk to Don Toni,we had seen them so many times we knew the words so didn't bother, the men did say they were going there to watch Moulin Rouge, but we didn't let them.Don't be put off because it isn't Fiesta,we found the changes were improvements, there were more Germans and Italians but the holiday was as good as ever.
You can upgrade to air-con,if it will be hot,we found the fan was enough for us,went in May.Next year t
here should be air con in all rooms if the refurbishment goes as planned.
Any more question, feel free to ask,Tina
Hi , I have just booked a holiday to Club Bahamas and due to go in approx six weeks time Sep 08 . I have three children the youngest just two years old. The hotel looked lovely on the Thomson website but since booking I have read some horror stories about the hotel needing updating, and the reosrt being rowdy and tacky. Has anyone been over the last few weeks who can put my mind at rest at least about the hotel. I would also like to know how much it i to pay for all inclusive per adult and child . Thanks
It was just under 14 euros for drinks option per adult 11 per child which is what we normally do,about 18 and 14 for AI.saves us a fortune!!
We always ask for ground floor room in block 6000,best room,we think is 6009,it has a terrace that you can block off so that your little ones can't wander too far.
We have already booked to return next year, refurb is taking place during the winter, next year it will be AI ,there should also be air conditioning in all rooms.PM me if you want any more questions answered,I will be happy to help.I put our review on this forum,we are the Clarke family.
Hi OSCARBEN , Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. You have put my mind at rest and I will look forward to my holidays.
i would say the hotel is just as good now as when fiesta used to owned it.at least they are spending money on hotel.
Would be great if they could introduce connecting rooms as its the one thing thats stopped us from booking here in the past. Don't suppose they want to start banging holes in walls, but it would be great if more places could do connecting rooms as its so much better than having the family in two seperate rooms.
Great thing about this place is its literally on the beach! Few steps and your on the sand
The 4 bed ground floor rooms are not a bad size,2 sofa beds, coffee table dressing table,tv then the wardrobe seperates that section from twin beds, nearly 2 rooms, but no door,we've only stayed in one block because we always e-mail the hotel and ask for the room we want. Not sure what the other rooms are like. We've been 4 times, our friends 10 times and we are already booked to meet there again next year.
We are off to the hotel bahamas on the 24th september and have just seen a fire in the snack bar at this hotel on you tube!! is this true????
Many thanks
Claire
Hi kolacube.just watched the clip and it certainly looks like hotel Bahamas,it is only the outside snack bar I think,e-mail the hotel if you are concerned,pm if you need e-mail address.
The hotel's email address is reservas@hotelclubbahamas-ibiza.com
